Worcester
The reputation of Worcester Bosch within the UK is outstanding. After operating in the country for nearly sixty years, the Worcester Bosch brand has established itself as a household name. This is largely due to the boilers’ consistent performance, good value, and efficiency throughout time.
Vaillant
Vaillant is a well-known brand in the heating sector, producing innovative, environmentally friendly, and energy-efficient heating solutions to assist homeowners obtain the heat and hot water they require while also being more sustainable.
Comparison
Energy Efficiency
Vaillant boilers use stainless steel heat exchangers, which are better at maintaining a high efficiency rate over time than Worcester Bosch’s aluminium heat exchangers, which can corrode. Other than this, upon installation, both brands and across multiple models in both ranges, there is very little difference in energy efficiency.
Price
Both of these brands’ prices will depend on the size and model of the chosen boiler. However, there, on average, is very little difference between the two with both Vaillant and Worcester Bosch running up at approximately £3,000. Where the important difference lies is in the quality of the materials used, the aforementioned efficiency, and length of standard warranty.
Warranty
All of Worcester Bosch’s products come with a full warranty. While this covers replacement components, call-out fees, and labour expenses, the length of the guarantee varies from model to model meaning that there is no standard period of warranty that blankets the entire range.
Vaillant warranties are much easier to understand than Worcester Bosch warranties. There are two possible options depending on who installed the product: a standard two year warranty which can increase to 7-10 years when installed by a Vaillant Advance installer, and a standard 5 years warranty that can also extend to 7-10 years available when it is installed by a Vaillant Advance installer.

Worcester Bosch has been named as the UK’s Best Domestic Boiler Manufacturer by Build Magazine in their 2020 Home and Garden Awards and received Which? Best Buy accreditation for their Greenstar boiler range every year for a decade (2009-2019.)
Vaillant’s reputation has been acknowledged in the UK, with the company’s comprehensive domestic boiler line being voted the top-rated gas boiler brand in the country after being granted ‘Best Buy’ title by Which? in 2020.
